November 2009 - Calahan Supports Major Emergency Response Exercise in Port of Antwerp
The unique assets of CalaHan and its Crisis Management Decision Support Software: NoKeos, were recently demonstrated during a large scale exercise in the Port of Antwerp. Inside the crisis control centre, key-decision makers of government and industry were actively supported by NoKeos. In total 15 parties at different locations made active use of the data provided by the several NoKeos consoles.
All parties were in agreement with the added value of NoKeos and the integrated scenarios developed by the CalaHan project team:
Incident data gathering, presentation & validation is effected in a more structured way
A common operational picture (COP) is available for all parties at all times
The GIS and Status Reporter component are invaluable during long-lasting incidents
The embedded emergency response processes governed by critical parameter changes stimulate pro-active thinking and are TIME-SAVING.
