FPC lectures at Dutch Centre for Industrial Safety (CIV)

 

The Dutch Centre for Industrial Safety (CIV) is a centre of expertise of the safety region Rotterdam-Rijnmond in the Netherlands, the home of Mainport Rotterdam. Europe’s largest harbour and the world’s 3rd largest port houses 85 industrial facilities on 5.100 HA and over 420 million tons are in transit per year.

The CIV provides know-how on industrial safety for SEVESO companies to local and regional public safety authorities. FPC has been requested to build a training course for these authorities on fire safety risk analysis for industrial facilities. The training course provides several case studies touching the various aspects fire safety risk analysis in a broad variety of industrial sites.

Ralf Bruyninckx and Kris De Troch will be teaching this course over 2 days.

FPC presents cases on the new Belgian regulation for buildings (ARAB annex 6) for fire safety in industrial buildings at Agoria.

Agoria, the Belgian federation of technological industry, organises a symposium on the significance of the announced Appendix 6 of the Belgian law on workforce safety (ARAB) towards industrial facilities.

 

FPC will be sharing its expertise in fire safety design for industrial facilities and the implications of this new regulation, during a half day symposium which will be held in Brussels. Kris De Troch and Alain Georges will be presenting the design method and discuss two case studies, giving an evaluation of the pro’s and con’s of the guideline.
